Never settle for less

It's quite nerve wrecking to sit back and really see the life you always have dreamed of. Everything that you have worked for, pursued and wanted with all your might just so close. Failure is always around the corner, success always seems to be at the highest peak to climb. Audacious is one to accept the relevance of failure in the path of success, while gaining momentum with each fall during his climb. Your fate is for you to decide, your will is your concern. Where you place them both is how you reach that peak. Climb away friends, because the peak only gets higher as time passes by. Never-settle-for-less.

Rab toh kehra ohla (How could you veil from god)

Tu banda apni rah nu bandh ankh toh vekhda ni,
(You keep your eyes closed while trying to stare at the path of life)

Te kadi rah takne da honsla na kitta,
(but you never kept faith in your vision)

Kinne buzorghon ne darshan kitta,
(so many prophets - written that as elders in punjabi -  blessed us with their comings)
Par tu beparwai vich sang renda
(but you've kept up solely with carelessness)
Kadi na mandiya dua rab toh
(never did you pray to your lord)
Na kadi tu ne bharosa kitta
(or hold on to your faith)
Jag de piche ral diya apne aap nu
(you wretched yourself chasing the world)
Tay tu ape nu beghana kitta
(and you alienated yourself)
Ghareeban da tenu fikar na faka
(you never cared of the poor)

Aiyashan vich tu doob gaya kaka,
(yet you drowned yourself in the joys of the world)
Naikiyan nu khaak kitta
(you left your good deeds in the dirt)
Akran di aag vich tenu sirf sanghna
(you have infested yourself with the fire of narcism)
Ohdi nijaat laake tenu suli te tangna
(that will only lead you to the gallows)
Duniya de rog tenu qaid kitta
(the disease of this world has kept you caged)
Hor rab toh kehra ohla
(how do you expect to veil from god)
Jad rab ne tenu jind ditta
(when he bestowed life upon you)
Aukhe zamane nu tu apna samajhda ve
(you think these deceitful times are yours for the taking)
Par zamane waleya nu kadi na labdha
(but you forgot the one who made this time)
Rab de karam toh vichar ke tan azmaya inj fasla
(you left the blessings of god and gained such distance)
Emaan de darr nu chad ke turr pae, kadi rab de khauf nu na morh laya
(walked away from the house of faith, never once did you return back your fear of god)

Benevolence

With the hollow sounds that have shaped our time,
The world churns for tomorrow and longs for flow of the divine.
The sun still rises with hopes of grace
Benevolence has left without a trace

Man moves forward hooked to his desires
Ignoring the fruits for his soul he should acquire,
Wretched and deceived they hide their face,
Benevolence has left without a trace

There were days when man had loved
Never to doubt the message sent from above,
But now those teaching have departed in haste
Benevolence has left without a trace

When life was precious and wars refrained
And modesty was never rare to pertain
Those times of charity are all in haze
Benevolence has left without a trace

In times of greed and sovereignty
Man beheads another for certainty,
Life remains endangered, survival a race
Benevolence has left without a trace

Now the only thing we carry is what we portray
And hope to hold those values that never lead us astray
Life is nothing but a time lapse in days,
Benevolence should've remain in multitudes of trace

Sanguinity

Slipped and fell countless times while trying to truly find myself, optimism had help defy the emotions that would otherwise demise my health. Perfection was never produced to actually acquire, in the path of life it had always remained an outlier. Never was fond of being pointed to and guided, bounded by faith with success I only collided. Determination is not the only entity I'm surrounded with, my motive is grounded so I never quit.

Duniya aur Dil

Dil ki gehrayi mein bhi ek dariya hai,
Jidhar misal bante hain duniya ke,
Ek aas hai us dariye mein,
Joh sans bharte hai uske karam ke.

Khuda gawah banta hai bande ka,
Jab duniya daron ko fursat nahi,
Tare jawab dete hai virani mein,
Jab jeene ka koi maqsad nahi.

Taane milte hai jogion ko,
Jo apne rah badal dalte hai,
Ankhein dhoondti hain us khoobion ko,
Joh insan na kabhi azma pate hai.

Ghurbat mein bhi ujala hai,
Jo jalata hai chiragh umeed ka,
Dil mein bhi ek tala hai,
Jo chupata hai khauf har gharoor ka.

Kehte hain aman chahiye toh duniya ko paraya samjho
Toh azadi ki khushal har admi ko sar basse gi
Agar duniya ko tum apnalo
Toh rooh ki pyas kabhi na bujhe gi.

Paths of life

It's inevitable to induce aberrations in life which lead you to paths you thought you'd never face. Sometimes neglect and ignorance empowers one with bliss, the bigger picture is never really that big after all. Find reasons in yourself first and then others to move forward for, life is one vehicle that does not carry a rear view.

Khushian Di Lorr

Har taali di chaa ban jaye saaron di masal
Bas eh choti  lorr vasdi hai sade dil vich
Kash kadi eh gal banjave duniya di reet,
Har pase loki sunghe pyar wala meenh

I probably have mistakes in there but this is my first try to come up with something in punjabi, shoot me with corrections or comments.

Morale

Morality is the sweetest fruit of nature, being immoral is like the climate that sweeps out the nutrients nature needs to grow. Man wasn't made to distort another man's hopes and dreams, nor was he made to create differences to point and divide with. With the loss of morale we had lost our ability to taste the sweetness that nature has to provide. We haven't just started to feed on each other, rather we have have decided to feed on every tree that would possess the fertility to reproduce that sweet fruit, morale.

How often are we exposed to influences that make us glimpse inside our own shirts, to witness the lackings in our character? or are we influences to strip down others only to label them with an molten oozing iron with judgements that does not reconcile with their upbringing? What protocol gives man the right to differentiate one from another? What rubric gives a man the right to grade a man over another who is less fortunate? How often do you look in the mirror in order to cover that imperfection you find in that physique, and how often do you look in the mirror to praise the perfection that is present in front of you. With more biomollecular cells withholding traits in there allelic regions considered today as DNA that you could possibly write down in any novel, how must you know where perfection truly lies? Had the higher forces up above the heavens intended to have to plucked a single differentiating cell undergoing metamorphises to bring about the variation from your hands and your feet, had he (the almighty) intended to omit that single enzymatic reaction we only could solve in stoicheometry, would you even be able to console yourself after finding the ability to look at your pathological self in the same mirror.

The priveledge of free-will has lead us to poison the same nature leading to our demise, when we were only set out to better ourselves. We are told that we are civilized to the utmost degree in evolution, but when I see through me, I can't recognize myself being anywhere close to being better than the same sapien that had walked this planet milleniums ago for he atleast had used his hands, dug his dirt, hunted for his food with appreciation for mother earth and the higher being to help provide for him. He is who's lineage has lead to my perseverance on earth. Me and the society I see myself around today.

Pathetic are those that are influenced by a bunch of scriptures they read off a digitally provoked public outcry, stationed in every room that's constantly propagating you on what to wear, what to eat, what to visit, what to feed? How to live, How to breath? What is civil, and what is creed? What is caged and what is free?

Now think about that some flat pannel gadget posted right infront of adam when he first laid his soles on the soil of this planet. If the devil had it so easy to convince him (adam) of disobeying our lord over picking out an apple off that forbidden tree and forever being banished from the heavens. Think about the fruits that we are picking out from that misleading tree and preventing the real joyce of nature to sprout from the seed, morale, it is far from greed.

The Guest House by Rumi (translated by Coleman Barks)

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Jelaluddin Rumi Poetry

Jelaluddin Rumi, the 13th century mystic poet, was truly one of the most passionate and profound poets in history.  Now, today his presence still remains strong, due in part to how his words seem to drip of the divine, and startle a profound rememberance that links all back to the Soul-Essence.  Born in what is present day Afghanistan in 1207, he produced his master work the Masnawi which consists of over 60,000 poems before he died in 1273.  The best way to fully say in words his impact, is that he has the ability to describe the Indescribable, Ineffable-- God.

You personify God's message.
You reflect the King's face.
There is nothing in the universe that you are not
Everything you want, look for it within yourself--
    you are that.

There is a community of the spirit.
Join it, and feel the delight
of walking in the noisy street
and being the noise.
Drink all your passion,
and be a disgrace.
Close both eyes
to see with the other eye.

Late, by myself, in the boat of myself,
no light and no land anywhere,
cloudcover thick. I try to stay
just above the surface,
yet I'm already under
and living with the ocean.

Love is from the infinite, and will remain until eternity.
The seeker of love escapes the chains of birth and death.
Tomorrow, when resurrection comes,
The heart that is not in love will fail the test.

When I am with you, we stay up all night,
When you're not here, I can't get to sleep.
Praise God for these two insomnias!
And the difference between them.

With the Beloved's water of life, no illness remains
In the Beloved's rose garden of union, no thorn remains.
They say there is a window from one heart to another
How can there be a window where no wall remains

When your chest is free of your limiting ego,
Then you will see the ageless Beloved.
You can not see yourself without a mirror;
Look at the Beloved, He is the brightest mirror.

Your love lifts my soul from the body to the sky
And you lift me up out of the two worlds.
I want your sun to reach my raindrops,
So your heat can raise my soul upward like a cloud.

This aloneness is worth more than a thousand lives.
This freedom is worth more than all the lands on earth.
To be one with the truth for just a moment,
Is worth more than the world and life itself.

I am.

I'm the result of my own despair
I'm the seed of my own mistakes
I'm the fruit of my own greed
I'm the soul of my own pride
I'm the reason for my own fall

But, I'm also the light of my own night
And, I'll do what I can to complete my life
Hence, from this moment there will never be a regret
never will there be a chance missed, but every opportunity kept
I will not wait for tomorrow to bring my redemption
Cause I will make success my only option, natural selection
I will carve doors into my hall of achievement
I will labor walls of attainment,
I will design my mansion of satisfaction
And I will work today, breathe tomorrow and live when I'm commemorated

Lupe Fiasco.... 'Word's I never said'

It's so loud inside my head
with words that I should have said
As I drown in my regrets
I can't take back the words I never said

I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
How much money does it take to really make a ulll clip
9/11 building seven did they really pull it?

And a bunch of other cover ups
Your child's future was the first to go with budget cuts
If you think that hurts, then wait here comes the uppercut
The school was garbage in the first place that's on the up and up

Keep you at the bottom but tease you with the upper crush
You get it then they move it so you never keepin up enough
If you turn on TV, all you see's a bunch of what the fucks
Dude is dating so and so, blabbering about such and such
And that ain't Jersey Shore, homie that's the news
and these the same people supposedly telling us the truth
Limbaugh was a racist, Glen Beck is a racist, Ghaza strip
was gettin bombed but Obama didn't say shit
That's why I didn't vote for him, next one either
I'm a part of the problem, my problem is I'm peaceful
And I believe in the people! Yeah!

It's so loud inside my head
with words that I should've said
As I drown in my regrets
I can't take back
the words I never said

Now we can say it ain't our fault
If we never heard it
but if we know better, then we probably deserve it
Jihad is not holy war, where's that in the worship?!
Murdering is not Islam and you are not observant

[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/words-i-never-said-lyrics-lupe-fiasco.html ]

And you are not a Muslim
Israel don't take my side cuz look how far you've pushed em
Walk with me into the ghetto, this is where all the kush went
Complain about the liquor store, well whatchu drinkin liquor for?
Complain about the gloom but when'd you pick a broom up?
Just listenin to Pac ain't gonna make it stop
A rebel in your thoughts ain't gonna make it whole
If you don't become an actor, you'll never be a factor.
Pills with a million side effects, take em when the pain's felt
Wash em down with Diet soda, killin off your brain cells
Crooked banks around the world will gladly give a loan today
so If you ever miss a payment, they can take your home away.

It's so loud inside my head
with words that I should've said
As I drown in my regrets
I can't take back
the words I never said

I think that all the silence is worse than all violence
Fear is such a weak emotion, that's why I despise it
We're scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth
So scared of what you think of me, I'm scared of even telling you
Sometimes I'm like the only person I feel safe to tell it to
I'm locked inside a cell in me, I know that there's a jail in you
Consider this your bailing out, so take a breath inhale a few
My screams is finally gettin free, my thoughts is finally yellin through!

It's so loud inside my head
with words that I should've sad
As I drown in my regrets
I can't take back
the words I never said

To Oppress

To uphold oppression is to extract the very source of oxygen coated from each particle present in the atmosphere.
To oppress with the very own influences of bare resources introduced to avail mankind is to destroy any chance of there being an atmosphere in the first place.
Practice humanity and inform yourself.

Success as I perceive it...

Success is like mold that flourishes through the dirtiest of all conditions and manages to sprout, growing regardless of the presence of the most unfeasible of all conditions. It's analogous to the school of hard knocks, Where the most unexpected of expected people have risen to great extents and created an impact on the world that have left us with quotes to end our essays in.
If success was particular in it's selection then a man wouldn't equal to another through chance or luck, the rich would devour with the lack of upholding the roots of success and the poor would fail to adhere to conceptuality of working towards a path that leads to their eternal accomplishment. Success would be an uncommon and unexpected finding like that bare illusion of an eclipse brought around only so often.
Success is an achievement hence where determination is bolted in the walls of the 'desire to achieve' we witness the eminence of individuals aspiring to rise amongst those lead behind with stray paths without a destination. If we toil with our blood and sweat to aspire like our exemplars we may inspirate the air of attainment with the taste of success.

Grasp Every Moment

With eternity of time lacks certainty of fate,
It's now or never
I stick to slack
I'll get held back
I better grasp every moment I ever stumble upon
Cause tomorrow isn't promised and today is what I refuse to hold back on

Focus further.

Success and Excellence

Success is but a bare ritual we designate to achieve our desires,
Excellence is the dire domain that binds us to success.

Work for excellence.

Emotion's of a Gaza kid

Revolt, I feel the essence of the air telling me no despair
Revolt, with every drop of blood on my land i was born at seige, lived in creed and longed to be free
Revolt, through every element in this rock strapped in my fist, the curses locked in my lips and hate that marks up to bliss
Revolt, is what i think of the when the sight of my family in distraught, my country forgot and the sacrifices of my forefathers left to rot
Revolt, why because they make me feel like my birth is a curse, cause waking up the second day feels worse than the first

So why is the there revolt imprinted in my soul? why must i lose fear to die in order to protect what my brain holds. For I have also dreamt of peace and serenity but received nothing but promised aids and no one to remember me.

Palestine on my mind,
Palestine in due time.
