Rab toh kehra ohla (How could you veil from god)

Tu banda apni rah nu bandh ankh toh vekhda ni,
(You keep your eyes closed while trying to stare at the path of life)
Te kadi rah takne da honsla na kitta,
(but you never kept faith in your vision)
Kinne buzorghon ne darshan kitta,
(so many prophets - written that as elders in punjabi -  blessed us with their comings)
Par tu beparwai vich sang renda
(but you've kept up solely with carelessness) 
Kadi na mandiya dua rab toh
(never did you pray to your lord)
Na kadi tu ne bharosa kitta
(or hold on to your faith)
Jag de piche ral diya apne aap nu
(you wretched yourself chasing the world)
Tay tu ape nu beghana kitta
(and you alienated yourself)
Ghareeban da tenu fikar na faka
(you never cared of the poor)
Aiyashan vich tu doob gaya kaka,
(yet you drowned yourself in the joys of the world)
Naikiyan nu khaak kitta
(you left your good deeds in the dirt)
Akran di aag vich tenu sirf sanghna
(you have infested yourself with the fire of narcism) 
Ohdi nijaat laake tenu suli te tangna
(that will only lead you to the gallows)
Duniya de rog tenu qaid kitta
(the disease of this world has kept you caged)
Hor rab toh kehra ohla
(how do you expect to veil from god)
Jad rab ne tenu jind ditta
(when he bestowed life upon you)
Aukhe zamane nu tu apna samajhda ve
(you think these deceitful times are yours for the taking) 
Par zamane waleya nu kadi na labdha
(but you forgot the one who made this time)
Rab de karam toh vichar ke tan azmaya inj fasla
(you left the blessings of god and gained such distance)
Emaan de darr nu chad ke turr pae, kadi rab de khauf nu na morh laya 
(walked away from the house of faith, never once did you return back your fear of god)
